The other day I was watching a program dealing with the topic of sibling rivalry. The host was encouraging the participants who are siblings made to sit against each other. Most of the speakers were complaining that they do not receive the same apreciation or sympathy that the other person was receiving from the family given any similar situation and responses they exhibit.
One thing which emerged from the discussions is that always we find one party is felt victimized due to the responses received from parent as against the other sibling who receives more attention, favouritism and partial treatment..
Arising out of the recent event of the fasting undertaken by Anna Hazare and the govt response, there was a talk show in one channel wherein they compared the govt response to a similar movement carried out by another activist, Irom Sharmila, for another cause for over 11 years and virtual indiferecene shown by the govt.
